diameter, price/kg, ... not updating when selecting material

Hello,

In the Process Settings, I select my PLA material under "Auto-configure for material".
Under the "Other" tab, I enter a value for the filament diameter and price, and when I change back to another material, let's say ABS,
then I notice that the diameter and price settings were also changed for this filament.

How is it possible to make it remember these settings, independently for each material?

Same goes for retraction settings (where I especially need to have different settings for different materials), this also is just one global setting for all the materials.
Is there no way I can have, for example 2mm retraction for one filament type and 1mm retraction for another filament type?


I understand this is all possible if I create different "profiles" instead of different "materials",
but isn't it logical that "filament price" should be a separate setting for different "materials"?

You can choose whatever settings you want to change for each material. This post explains how: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4225&p=18475#p18475

Just make sure that the <filamentDiameter>, <filamentPricePerKg> and the retraction settings are present in each one of your material sections, then save and re-import into the software.
