Hey! I have a dual-extruder printer and just bought some simple brass nozzles of varying sizes -- from 0.3 to 0.8. I've only previously printed in 0.4. Two problems I've had with the 0.8 nozzle:
1. I've tried printing at 0.8 layer height, but I couldn't seem to get the nozzle low enough for prints to actually stick well to the bed, even though I have the bed leveled using the paper method. Initially I figured if an 0.4 nozzle can print at 0.4 layer height, an 0.8 nozzle can print at 0.8 layer height. Is this not the case though?
2. The extruded plastic has too long of a delay before it starts extruding, causing a mess on the first layer. All retraction settings are disabled.
I've been printing a couple years, but never with anything but an 0.4 nozzle. Any help would be appreciated!
