Hi, I have an Replicator and I am printing PLA at 100mm/s and 200c temperature.

I have had my printer since March and only tried a few overnight prints. All but one time the filament got bound up and choked off the feed making the print unable to finish. When this happens the feeder chews through the filament until it breaks and I have to disassemble the feeder to remove the broken filament.

After the last time this happened I seem to be having an issue where, every time the print retracts the filament during printing, the material wrench stops extruding for a couple seconds leaving little beads instead of a line. It's possible that its not related to the issue above but i thought i would mention it just in case.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

How many times have you disassembled and put back together the hotend assembly? I might suggest just ordering a new one to be safe. Also, a complete disassembly of the extruder assembly and deep cleaning would probably be the first thing I try when something like this happens after making no changes at all to the retraction settings. Are you using the stock S3D profile for your MakerBot?

You are really printing too fast for the conditions. Most likely you are getting some heat creep which is causing partial clogs in the cool section of the extruder.

Cut your speed to 40mm/s and see how things go.
