Re: retraction broken?

Thu Nov 22, 2018 8:03 am

A huge thank you to everyone that provided factory files and g-code to help our team narrow this down. We've confirmed the cause of the issue and will be working to provide a fix very soon in version 4.1.1. This bug fix and another one we're working on should greatly improve print quality when users are using retract during wipe movement as well as other advanced features. Again, thank you for your thorough and honest feedback. We're privileged to have such a large community of users and hope to be able to clear up these issues quickly for you all!

I had a similar problem. Turning off wipe in Ooze Control and turning off the "Perform wipe during retraction movement" under the advanced tab helped significantly. Hopefully S3D catches on to all the unhappy people with 4.1 and releases some sort of hot fix soon.

I’m happy to state that this issue should be resolved now in the latest 4.1.1 release. Our team successfully tested factory files from threads mentioning this issue with retractions missing or using incorrect retraction and priming values. These values should be present and correct again. This was just one of many improvements to the software. All of which are detailed on our Release Notes page.

Thank you for your help reporting this issue!
