Been having an issue with my Davinci Pro 1.0 where it takes a few seconds before it starts extruding filament beginning a print. I know that’s what a brim is for but most times that’s just not enough. What I’ve been doing is waiting until the bed heats up, and then the nozzle. When the nozzle gets to about 180 degrees C, I manually hold the release lever on the extruder and put pressure on the filament, feeding a small amount of filament manually in, essentially priming the nozzle. This works very well but I typically only have a few seconds to do this and have to time it just right.
Is there a way I can set a command in the script somewhere that would monitor the nozzle temperature and extrude a certain amount of filament when that set temperature is reached. It would be ideal if it could be done at a certain temperature instead of simply just after say the nozzle reached its operating temperature. That way I would have the time to wipe away the hanging filament before the actual print started.
Thanks for any advice.
