Disconnect from Flashforge Creator Pro

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I have a flashforge creator pro (2017) and use Simplify 3D.

In the last week or so, the connection between my 3d printer and simplify 3d (I print over USB) has been randomly disconnecting.

This is literally the first couple of times this has happened, and is consistently doing it. It is very rare that I get out of the first 2minutes of a print.

I have tried the following:
- Different USB Ports
- Different USB cables
- Leaving Printer off for a long period of time
- Sharing a power supply (surge protected) between my desktop and the 3d printer.
- Clearing Nozzles (just in case) - following a youtube video from flashforge
- Uninstalled Simplify 3d and Reinstalled it.
- Tried different filaments (all PLA but different colours and some new from packaging)
- Taken bottom of the printer and checked the cables hidden beneath the printer to see if there is any snagging or damage which could be causing a problem.


I have tried printing from the SD card, and this is occasionally successful.

It starts the build, then disconnects, the LEDS go off from the printer and it just freezes. I have seen people posting about communication errors in 4.1.1 (which is the version i am running). Was this a recent release? and therefore could it be the software bugging?

Any guidance or assistance is welcome as after 12hours i am kind of losing the plot! (Have also contacted trade seller for advice).
