Sequential Printing - "Max Height Clearance" not respected?

Hi all,
in the attached screenshot you can observe a print that consists of two processes tied to two autonomous STL: just the infill for the inner model and perimeters for outer model.
The goal is to totally print the inner model before switching to the outer model, and there should be no problems because the inner STL is 0,5 mm tall and the outer STL is 5 mm tall.
Anyway, while wide playing with the "Max Height Clearance" value there's no way to obtain the desired result, and the first layers of both models are printed as if I had chosen the "Continuos printing" option.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you!
