I saw something interesting on a print from one of our supplier, he is using a very big nozzle(3mm) and print only the external perimeter with one wall and no infill nor support.
But when the filament is overhanging they add an extra support:
Side view of layers, green are the single wall perimeter and the red one are the extra local support
Apparently they use your software, do you have special settings to do that?
