I have printing defects like in the picture.
My printer is a DaVinci Pro
Material PLA
resolution 0.3 mm
I did search through this forum, but did not find a solution that wrks for me.
It looks that the problem happens at the start of the extrusion of a new layer.
The setting (as shown in the picture) is that a new layer start "close to a specific location".
When I set "random start points" the blobs are all over the model, what is to be expected.
I have changed retraction from 1 to 15 mm no visible effect.
I have changed the extra restart distance fro -0.2 to -1.0 mm no visual difference.
I have played around with temperature settings from 180 - 200 C no improvement
Switching on wiping and coasting makes thing worse (as said to me it looks the blob occurs at the start.
Slicing with the XYZ print utility moves the layer start to a corner. There it is less severe and above all less visible.
What worries me most is that changing the retraction distance and the extra restart distance has no effect at all.
Is there a setting that overrides the settings at the extruder tab?
Or is there a bug that my printer does not execute a different retraction setting? (It does do retractions!,that I van see during printing!)
The problem/blob is bigger on the inside then on the outside (The model is hollow with a 3 mm wall. Infill of the wall is set to 30%.)
I will be glad for any suggestion how to improve on this.
Thanks
