RETRACTIONS ALIGNMENT ERROR

Hi everybody,

I have a big problem with the alignment of endpoints and retractions: I have a single-island model with just 2 perimeters and I select to align the endpoints to one specific point. But, for some reason, the end-points of internal perimeters don’t coincide with the start-points of the external perimeters: the nozzle actually “jumps” from the internal endpoint to the startpoint of the external perimeter without any apparent reason. The result is scars on the surface of the model as you can see in the picture. The stl file is perfect and doesn’t display any artifact.

Any suggestions?

thanks!!!

Re: RETRACTIONS ALIGNMENT ERROR

That looks like you have coasting or wipe on, try changing the distance for either.

Re: RETRACTIONS ALIGNMENT ERROR

I agree there is room for improvement in your retraction settings, but start points are somewhat broken in the current version. I sometimes have better luck with point alignment in 4.0.
