Blurring or echoing of surface features

Has anyone had problems with features being repeated along a surface of a print. The picture below was printed using Simplify, on a 3dP printer. The part text face was on the Z axis. This was a clean model that was designed in Solidworks and converted to an STL, the stl didn't have these echos of the text. I'm also seeing this on a part that was printed with a diamond plate surface. The edges of the diamonds were repeated all over the surface which made it look very blurred.

Common error when belts are not tight enough and/or to fast printspeed.

Re: Blurring or echoing of surface features

You didn't specify which printer you have so I don't know if this is relevant, but I have experienced a similar "looking" effect on my 2 nozzle printer when they are not adjusted. This happens when the lower of the nozzles rides along and is touching the surface just printed by the "other" nozzle. It is a matter of better calibration to reduce/eliminate this problem.

Don't know if this is helpful in your case...
