Strange preview, wrong gcode ?

Dear Sir,
I'm the happy owner of a MakerGear M3 ID printer.
The slicer I use is Simplify3D, version 4.1.2, on a Macintosh.
I asked Simplify3D to produce the gcode for the model joined,
Unfortunately, the preview displays a very strange result.
I joined:
- a screen capture of the original model.
- a screen capture of the preview,

I tried to add the factory file, but it is too large (3.5 Mb), but here is a wetransfer link:

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely Yours

Re: Strange preview, wrong gcode ?

Here's your problem:
thinwall.JPG
Thin walls!

You need to redesign the part with thicker walls at the root of the thread....and elsewhere as well!

Alternatively, try changing the thin wall setting to allow single extrusion and set the mimimum extrusion width down to something like 20%. It might print!...but will probably fall apart the first time the cap is screwed on firmly!!

Unlike other slicers, S3D resolves the printed model at the size of the design...and if it cannot rxtrude thin enough, it doesn't extrude...rather than extruding oversize! Other slicers extrude irrespective of whether the resultant part has overthick parts.
