Changing Z height build volume

Hello,

I've physically extended the Z height on my prusa i3 to be able to print 12inch high parts. I'm changing the settings in the "options/machine tab" to 305mm. I'm also making the adjustment in the process i made in the "G-Code tab" in the "update machine definition" section to 305mm. Unfortunately when moving the extruder manually, i cannot go past 190mm. It does not work either if i try to print something higher than 190mm.When i change the build volume, I can see the update being made in the viewer where my part is. I see the virtual build box being updated.

Can anyone help?

Re: Changing Z height build volume

It sounds like your firmware still has max software endstops enabled at the old 190mm height. You will need to edit your firmware so that the Z_MAX_LENGTH is the correct value or set max_software_endstops to false.
