Square prints not... square!?

I designed a project box for the AVR Dragon and Dragon Rider programmer for Atmel chips in Openscad. It was designed as a rectangle with straight sides and interior posts that were of the same size as the mounting posts on the dragon. Besides the print failing to complete, you can see that the print has significant issues. When you look at the image you can see that the bottom has a beveled look, the printer settling on the proper object size multiple layers into the print. What you cannot see is that the interior posts are also angled towards the corners, but appear to be the proper size otherwise.

Exactly the same, it looks like the entire print started smaller on those layers and then progressively gets larger with the height. I did print with a brim/skirt and it appears that the print was offset by the size of the skirt (5 wide, 5 high, .80 from the object). I am going to turn the skirt off tonight to see if that changes it.

I don't see anything wrong with the gcode. Have you changed any of the settings in your firmware? Do all of your prints grow in the x and y axis?

I didn't change any settings beyond the baudrate to try to correct the disconnect issue I am having. I forgot to mention this is a Mac OS Simplify3d install as well. All of the prints on this printer appear to be doing the same growing print. I printed a couple of parts with a smaller skirt (2 x 2) and it was smaller, but still present in the part.

I just restarted the print job without the skirt and took some quick measurements and the first layer so far looks to be spot on to the dimensions of the part (144 x 113).

It could be that the first couple of layers didn't stick to the build plate at the end so it's brought in a bit. And it builds on top of it.

Re: Square prints not... square!?

I think DarthRevan is right.....try another print, like the standard calibration cube, and post a picture of that print. If the print keeps growing in size, that will help pinpoint the source of the problem.
