100% infill is very slow

Hello,

For some reason, my infill (not the top nor bottom layers, just the "normal infill" that I set to 100%) is god damn too slow. Slower than the outlines, slower than everything. And even pushing the speed jog to 200% seems to have zero impact.

I have a prusa i3 printer, printing PLA at 215° 60° bed,

I made a video so you can see how slow it is despites the settings below. I suppose I did something wrong, but I have no clue. It's probably big and somebody is going to spot it so fast that i'll feel ashamed for the rest of my life, but hey, that's life :-)

https://youtu.be/nHnBU0Y-C1c

Notice that After i made the video, the part reached the top flat layer who printed like 5 to 10 times faster. Everything is upside down....! Why in hell would the inner ones be so slow? I already see a possible hack: set top and bottom layers to 10000 each...

here are my settings:

Re: 100% infill is very slow

The infill speed is set with the "Default printing speed" setting, so just adjust that to the speed you want. Note that there are some things in the software which can also modify this speed, like your cooling settings. So if you want to disable that so that it truly prints at exactly the speed that you specify, go to the Cooling tab and disable the "Adjust printing speed for layers below XXX seconds" option.

If you've been messing with the real-time speed overrides, make sure you set those back to 100% AFTER connecting to the printer.

Hi JoeJ,

Unfortulatly, it aint the manual override (which I used only after I noticed the behaviour. Nor the cooling (In fact, when it arrives on top, it accelerates because it gets to "exterior infill" which happens 5 times faster.

I've been playing with Simplify3D settings for a while now, I print in a FF and I have no problem there, Which is suggesting my next investigation step: Take my last successfull settings on the FF, change to prusa, see what happens.

i'll post the results as soon as I is done. I suspect something in marlin itself (?!) but that is clearly just an assumption!
