Nozzle & bed warm up sequence

Hello,

I notice that the nozzle and the bed warm up in sequence (i.e. one after the other).
This makes for an unnecessary delay, with Cura they would warm up in parallel.
Any hint ?

Thank you and best regards,

Benoit

Re: Nozzle & bed warm up sequence

They let you customize it however you want. Just go to the Scripts tab and edit your starting script. You can use the following to heat both the bed and the extruders at the same time

Code: Select all

G28 ; home all axes
M104 S[extruder0_temperature] T0 ; start heating extruder
M140 S[bed0_temperature] ; start heating bed
M190 S[bed0_temperature] ; wait for bed to reach temp
M109 S[extruder0_temperature] T0 ; wait for extruder to reach temp
However, you should know that this draws a LOT of current. In fact, many users have reported that doing this ended up breaking their printer, so use at your own risk! There's probably good reason that S3D doesn't do this by default...

Re: Nozzle & bed warm up sequence

Thanks for this solution, I know what to do now.
In my case, hardware is not an issue, I have seperate power supplies for bed and nozzles ;)
