Connection Issue

I have bought a new 3D printer - CreatBot DX.

When I try to connect via USB using S3D it fails - screenshot of the control panel shown in attachment. I have checked the COM port and baud rate.

I have obviously forgotten something. Any clues would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Connection Issue

I'm guessing you need to update your serial-port driver to match the protocols your printer is expecting. I had a similar problem when I installed S3D on a new PC.

I don't know which driver you need to install, but it might be a good thing to Google your printer model and "serial driver" and see what you find. That's how I finally got my setup working.

Re: Connection Issue

I installed ReplicatorG that came with my new printer and ran a test via USB and it worked. When I installed S3D it picked right up and ran fine. I do find that on occasion when I get the connection failed I have to unplug the USB cable at the PC and plug back in then it is fine.
