I'm a new user to Simplify3D coming from Repetier-Host and Slic3r.
I understand now that Simplify3D requires you to set the largest X x Y square as your build volume. Trouble is - if you do that, you get an error message about not being able to auto-arrange items that go outside that X x Y area! That is not good.
I find it hard to believe this issue has been around, and it's never been a high enough priority to fix.
There must be a better way to work around this -- if you set a larger build area, the preview doesn't seem accurate. If you set the smaller build area, you are stuck manually arranging larger objects. Do most Delta printer owners not print large objects?
