2.0.1 Bridge Fan override not working

Trying to print the 4cm bridge test on thingiverse using a Makergear M2 and Simplify3D 2.0.1.
I have layer 1 fan speed set to 0, printing ABS with no supports.

Shouldn't the fan kick on when it starts the span on the bridge?

Re: 2.0.1 Bridge Fan override not working

Hey CADman,

I sliced this model once myself just to investigate. It looked correct to me, but you might want to make sure you have your bridging area threshold set low enough to capture these small surfaces. Open your FFF Settings and click on the Other tab. There is an option labeled "Unsupported area threshold". This determines the minimum area that is required for a specific region before the bridging modifications get applied. It's really useful to control where the bridging logic is used so that you aren't constantly engaging the bridging fan speed and bridging flowrates unless you really need them.

I have my area threshold set to 50 mm^2 and that seemed to capture it just fine.

Hope that helps!

Re: 2.0.1 Bridge Fan override not working

Thanks for the reply Clayton,
I have sent many more prints and still no bridge detection.

I'm printing ABS with the default makergear m2 settings, which turn off the cooling fan at layer 0, but the bridge should still override that I would think.
