weired slicing behaviour

hiya all

I have a strange thing happening with this part.

when I have it at 90 degree angle i gap appears mid layer.
If I orientate it at -90 degree a different issue occurse.
it occures from layer 198
can someone please help me out on this

had to add another post for additional image

this is when I have it orientated at 90 deg

It looks very much like errors in the mesh....

Have you run this model through one of the repair services?? The Netfabb service now seems to have stopped playing ball with .stl format files...try:
