S3D ignores nozzle settings on slicing

Sun Oct 30, 2016 12:14 pm

To print transparent models with clear PETG I bought a 0.7mm nozzle to be able to work with 0.5mm layer height.
But setting the new nozzle size I remarked, that S3D is ignoring these settings completely when slicing.
So I experimented with a lot of different nozzle settings and compared the slicer results. The attached picture is the slicer result for a model with 0.9mm thick walls. This result I got for for all settings I tried, independend from the nozzle diameter and extrusion width I tested. Even if I set the nozzle diameter to 0.7mm and the extrusion width to 0.9mm (the real wall thickness) S3D generates 3 traces for every wall resulting in a wall thickness of more than 3mm.
Where I made the failure?

You only changed the width for the left extruder. Open your process settings and click on the "Right Extruder" entry in the list. You need to edit that one too
