Models import out of scale

I have only just started with S3D so might be doing something stupid.

When I import models into S3D some of the components are out of scale, like tiny locating pins larger than my print bed!

I printed a part that looked to be to scale, but when compared to the mating part that I had printed back on Makerware, it was too large.

Any ideas?

Can you post the STL file?

Re: Models import out of scale

... Last week I had to learn the same: a STL-Files has no dimensions.
The slicer will search the most possible value in Inch or in MM.
If it is very small in mm - or great in inches - the slicer scalled it with 2,540 to inches or to mm.

Just dobble-click to the object and have a look to the scale and set it to 100%

Yeah, after playing with it a little I realised that the issue was somewhere between the chair and the keyboard.
It was an inch/mm mix up.

Don't worry, you have no influence to this .

I had seen it last week the first time while more than 2 years experiences with 3D-printers.
