Top and bottom layers not filling in properly

I have a Flashforge Creator Pro. I'm printing ABS with only the left extruder.

Lately, the top and bottom layers have not been filling in properly.

I've provided pictures and the Simplify 3D factory file.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Re: Top and bottom layers not filling in properly

If your bottom layers aren't filled, it usually means the nozzle is starting too far from the bed. If every layer looks like it isn't filled in, then you may be under-extruding everywhere. Try increasing the extrusion multiplier.

Try increasing "Outline Overlap" from 20 to 30 on the Infill tab.

Re: Top and bottom layers not filling in properly

I second both of the above changes.....and if you start suffering from stringing in between the parts...particularly in the lower part of the print where you have supports, then I suggest the sequential printing technique....like I have set up in the attached modded version of your factory file.

I've made the two suggestions to the settings, then created four copies of the process, and attached the individual models to the processes in a way that you'll see by viewing the setup.

When slicing, select all five processes and a max height clearance to suit your printer...this is the max height that can be printed to allow the printer to start again on the bed alongside an existing print.

Printing like this will reduce the horrible stringing that supports create to hopefully zero!
