Printing cylinders

Sun Mar 31, 2013 12:53 pm

I used the same .fff config for the 3 objects in this photo, curious why the sample cylinder on the left is printing so much better than the flute prints? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I used to get those bumps when my Z-Axis speed was too slow. Also, If you uncheck the box for random start location then the bumps will all align. you can also try lowering your extruder temperature a couple of degrees and tweaking your retraction distance and speed. I have been getting some really smooth finishes by using 2 or 3 shells by laying down the inner shell first.
