As mentioned in the 1st post.
To specify the start point closest to a given point does not work anymore in 4.0.1
unless "Print Island Sequentially without optimization" is UNCHECKED
I don't believe it!
Here are attached another exemple with settings as every day, only the ooze shield is set for demonstration and shows definitivly the startpoint near X0 / Y0 and near X200 / Y200 when the print head changes between the model and the ooze shield.
The 3rd picture shows the same with setting to Random Start Point.
... without sequentially print. This option has no influences to my results.
Here is the real existing print:
The objects high is 6 mm and the nobbles are caused only by my settings without a Restart value (normal used -0,13 for ABS and PLA but this is a new special filament. Lift also set to zero).
Another example:
I have the start point set near the center of the part - offset slightly to one side so i should get a 'zipper' up the side. i don't want any start points on the vanes. here's what it looks like in 4.0 (this is what i want to have)
If i slice this in 4.1 I get scattered start points, and some of them are out on the vanes which clearly are not the closest point to the specified coordinates.
This is not fixed yet? I am having the same issue. I haven't had to print anything for a long time where i needed specific start points. Now I go to do it and it doesn't work anymore.
