S3D giving "could not open file for reading" on Mac OSX

New user of S3D and it worked immediately from my PC to my XYZPrinting daVinci miniMaker. However, when trying to send to printer on my Mac, I keep getting a "Could not open file for reading" error. I've restarted the printer and the program and nothing has changed. I went to the S3D folder in applications and set all users to read & write and nothing changed. I know the program and my printer works because of the PC working, but what gives on the Mac? Thanks!

Re: S3D giving "could not open file for reading" on Mac OSX

Sounds like a permissions issue. Instead of clicking "Begin printing.." right away, try to save the file to your hard drive first. Click "save toolpaths to disk", and then try to save the file on your desktop or downloads folder. If that works, then go to Tools > Machine Control Panel, connect to your printer, and then click the Print button and select the .3w file you saved previously.

FYI, I had the same issue. Advice above worked.

Any idea why though? It seems to happen on larger files for me. This one was 10236 bytes.
