Hey guys. I just updated to version 4.0 and it won't connect to my printer. It's an XYZPrinting da
vinci 2.0/duo (whatever you want to called it) with the
Repetier Firmware .94. In the machine control panel if I click connect I get this.
Code: Select all
Attempting connection at \\.\COM9...
Testing plaintext communication protocol...
Testing binary communication protocol...
Testing alternate communication protocols...
Connection failed.
Now I've gotten it to "partially" work right by opening
Repetier Host first, connecting, then disconnecting, then I can connect through the v4.0 software after that. So there is that work around, but I shouldn't have to do that. I'm guessing I need to modify some of the gcode settings or something to get the
repetier firmware to acknowledge properly, but I'm not sure what to do here really.
EDIT: And just to clearify, yes, COM9 is confirmed to be the correct port as it works with
repetier properly, and after connecting in
repetier, simplify works fine. It's just that initial startup after the printer has just been turned on it won't connect. Baud rate was also double checked to be correct.
EDIT AGAIN: Also, it worked perfectly fine in the last version of simplify.
