The ability to select just a part of a model to adjust or

print.

Say I had a model and one part needed to be longer. At the moment I can only change the size of the whole model. But if I could select just the part of the model that needed resizing it would save a lot of time and effort and I wouldn't have to remodel it in a cad package.

Likewise if i wanted to see if a specific part of a model would print - I could select that and not have to print the rest of the model around it. Which would save a lot of time and plastic.

It would just be a super useful thing to be able to do.

When you say "part" of a model, do you mean a separate object completely? For example, a single STL file that has 2 completely separate cubes in the same file?

no.
That wouldn't make sense :-) And you can already do it.

The ability to crop a single model to create a new model - if you like.
Or to adjust the size or rotation of just a part of a model.

But essentially the ability to select parts of a model and just print those.

We can sort of do it by selective rotation and leaving the unwanted part below the print bed.

But a select tool would be much easier.
