Calibrating of a CTC (Flashforge Clone)

Hi!

I´m new to 3D Printing and did my first steps with a CTC Printer and Simplify3d 2.2.2
Today, i printed a calibration cube with 25mm each side.
Z-Heigt and X-Width is absolutely correct, but in Y-axis the Cube is only 24,4mm.

Is there a "calibration factor" i can insert for this axis in Simplify3d?
If not - What can i do?

I´m running the actual Sailfish 7.7 as Firmware on the CTC

Thanks in advance!

Re: Calibrating of a CTC (Flashforge Clone)

That's odd, because usually the X and Y axes use the exact same steps per mm values. And obviously any settings like extrusion multipliers of filament diameters would also affect both the X and Y axes. It's quite rare to see only the Y axis being off. Usually both the X and Y are off.

So in your case, if only one of the axes is off, I would suspect it is probably a hardware issue. Maybe some excessive backlash with the belts. Because I can't think of any settings in the software that would cause the X and Y axes to be different.
