Baseline settings?

Ok, I have been using ReplicatorG without much issue.. I purchased S3D for the dual color ability and so far, this has not gone well..

I can take the same models, generate my code via RG4 and things are fine.. (via SD card)
Sailfish 7.6 on a CTC3D dual on 1.75ABS

Rendering under "Makerbot Replicator (Left extruder) Because that is the extruder I am using

S3D goes through all the motions and nothing but a few dribbles of material come out..
"AutoConfigure" is set for medium

So either I am using the wrong Profile or I have something else messed up with my S3D..
Any clues as to where I start?

Thanks

Re: Baseline settings?

It sounds like your extruder isn't primed. Have you tried preheating it and extruding a bit of plastic before you start the print? You can also use a few skirt outlines to essentially do the same thing. Just make sure to set the skirt extruder to the left extruder.

Re: Baseline settings?

It is primed and it even does a "pre-flow" on the start..
Without a doubt, the extruder is ready.. I can jump right to a file I did with Replicator4 and it takes right off and works just fine, back to S3D compiled file and it is a total fail..

I do not know Gcode but my best guess is that the feed for the filament is not starting up.. (no popping noises, no other indication that the feed roller is working)..

Re: Baseline settings?

Well I found a box in the process settings under "G-Code Options" that had the M101-103 commands disabled.. So Google told me that these are the extruder flow control commands..

I have not changed any of these settings but it would appear that this box that "Includes" these commands must be checked in most conditions.

I will re-render the print jobs and try this..

Re: Baseline settings?

In your firmware config (Tools --> Firmware Configuration), do you have it configured for MakerBot/Sailfish type printers? If so, you should have an X3G tab that should be set to Rep 1 dual.

Re: Baseline settings?

Why don't you just post your factory file? I've never had this issue, but it should be really easy to just print your settings on my machine to see what happens.
