Trouble with raft

Hey all,

I was hoping the raft in Creator would be better than it was in the open-source space, but I think I'm out of luck or maybe am doing something wrong.

The raft will NOT release from the part...it is fused. I've tried all types of settings...changing the extrude temps to very low all the way to the extreme as hot as the printer will run (Makergear M2), changing the thickness, the raft infill percentage. But no matter what the raft is just fused to the bottom of the part.

Compared to another printer I have (Up! Plus) which extrudes at much hotter temps and has less cooling, with the exact same filament, the raft just pops off (but admittedly their raft is genius...and needs to be reverse engineered :D).

Any tips?

Thanks,

Lon

Re: Trouble with raft

I would suggest only using a raft for hugely irregular objects with very little of the model touching the build plate with support for the rest not touching
the build plate, then the supports and the raft peel away quite well. Hope this makes sense.
