[DONE] Switch to rotate direction of support generation

Re this topic: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2700&p=11293#p11293

Sometimes support is generated so that its difficult to remove. One example is where you have a cut-out in a vertical surface and you want to place support to prevent any dangly bits! Look at the preview and the support material is generated parallel to the surface....making it difficult to remove as you have nothing to grab hold of.

The quick solution is to spin the model round 90 degrees so the support is generated at 90 degrees to the surface....and you can easily grab the support with pliers, etc.

One big problem! If the model will not fit on the build plate if turned by 90 degrees, you're stuffed!

My suggestion is a check box to rotate the generation of the support by 90 degrees so you don't need to manipulate the model. This also gets round the issue in the above post where support is generated in the same direction as the infill on the first layer the support is holding up.

Re: Switch to rotate direction of support generation

doug, just change in infill angle. the setting is already there. default its 0 deg. change it to 45 or 90 or whatever you want. no need to rotate the model around the support. just make the support at the angle you need it.
