Parser error with accented characters in the file name

Hi,
I have stored a factory file that include parts with accented characters in the file name (éèâë...).
When I have used load factory file feature, I got an error something like "Parser error...."
Then the name in the object list was displayed with some strange characters.
After that the biggest issue was very strange behavior from the slicer, 5 bottoms layers instead of 3, some missing other, ect...
I have tried many ways to get back a correct behavior but the only thing working was to setup a new machine profile from the wizard.

Can you attach a factory file with the odd characters?

Re: Parser error with accented characters in the file name

The exact error message is:
Failed to parse xml file
Encountered incorrectely encoded content

Maybe strange slicer behavior was not caused by this issue.
Because today I still get parse error but no issue with the slicer.

The special characters present in the factory file throw an xml parse error for me, too.

If you rename the models, save another factory file, and import it, does it still give you a parse error?

PS: slicing seems fine on my end.

If I rename files, I don't get error anymore

About slicing behavior:
I've load again the factory file with files names content odds characters.
Prepare to print -> all are ok
Make some modifications in the Process1
- First layer from 90% to 100%
- Skirt outlines from 8 to 10
- primary extruded from 240 to 235
Then all goes wrong, slice with strange behavior!
And even if I reload the factory files slice behaviors are still here.

Safe to say we should avoid special characters in file names for the time being.

Also seen the parser message when naming my profile with µ micron character. Haven't seen any issue with slicing behaviour. Just posting here for the record or anyone searching. Maybe the characters should be disallowed at the input stage.

Re: Parser error with accented characters in the file name

I have no problems with the german "Umlaute" in S3D but my printer do not accept them. I can choice the file on the display but nothing happens after this.
If I rename the file, all is well done.
