extruder/ layer Grinding problem. Please Please HELP

Pic attached. Extruder gear keeps grinding filament ABS and PLA at all tempatures I have tried. Not sure what the problem is. Ideas? Also prints have lots of pimples as seen in the pictures. The grinding happens sometimes on the 3rd layer some times on the last few layers. No ryme or reason to when it starts to grind. Note: using no fan with ABS and the printer is a smartone 200. It looks like your nozzle is not extruding evenly. It's likely because of a jam or maybe incorrect idler tension between the filament and the drive gear. Also possibly bad or inconsistent filament.

are the picture the under side or the top?

might be a combo of going too fast and your filament slipping when being fed into the hot end. Could be too much pressure on the filament and it grinding away at it or not enough and its just slipping.
