All processes selected each time I "Prepare to Print"

Every time I click the "Prepare to Print" button in v3.0 (Mac), the dialog box comes up with all the existing processes selected. I then have to deselect the ones I don't want to use for that print. Is this happening to anybody else? It's really annoying. Prior versions would only have the single process I had selected on the left selected in the "Select Processes for Printing" dialog box.

Same here. It IS kinda annoying. I only have two processes so it is not much more work for me.

Why do you guys have other processes that you aren't using for the print?

I will voice my opinion to the contrary. In previous versions, every time I wanted to do a multi-process print or a dual extrusion print I always had to click "select all", so I'm thrilled it does this automatically now!

Well I have a process for test prints and then one for high quality "oh god this takes forever" prints. and I will probably make a process for medium quality stuff

The processes are there to say how you are going to build the parts on the build platform. I have a feeling it's not acting 100% intuitive for you because you aren't really using the software exactly how it's meant to be used. In your case, it sounds like you really have 2 separate profiles, a quick one and a high quality one. So use the new S3D profile system to save those as two separate entries in the drop down menu (this video explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ7HFPY1wog).

Then you can use the processes how they are intended. If you only plan to use one process for the print, you really should only have one process in the list.

I know everyone has their own preferences on how to do things, but I have a feeling that following the recommended S3D approach will make things much easier in the long run, since that's obviously how the software was written ;)

Re: All processes selected each time I "Prepare to Print"

I prefer to use multiple processes like dsegel as well. I have several factory files for different models I'm working with and often. For each of these I will have multiple processes for different printers, qualities and experimental settings. Each factory often uses its own unique settings for all of these. If I was to rely on saved settings my drop down list would soon become an overpopulated mess!

It would also be nice to have a way to quickly view what models are associated with each process without the need to go into the sub menu before preparing to print.

If you just click on the process name in the list to the left, it will automatically select the parts that the selected process applies to. No need to go into a sub menu :D
