Prime Pillar not working as it should

The Prime Pillar can be very helpful for extruders that use multiple filaments through one nozzle. The Prime Pillar will be the first thing printed when changing nozzles, to help ensure that the nozzle is primed and ready to print before it continues the print.
That's true with a big "BUT"... it's only true while u print in dual color and changing the color on layer change. If u try to print with (just an example) two colors in the same layer, using a color (or a material) for the perimeter/shells and another one for the infill, u got a total mess.
I'm try to print a cover in dual color for my cellphone and i'm using 2 colors and 2 materials (Ninjaflex and PLA) and naturally, due to the beautifulness of the infill patterns, using infill without top and bottom to make the design cusomizable directly via Simplify3D.

Unfortunately I'm using the MagoKimbra FluxCapacitor and firmware, so 2 extruders, 1 hotend. Prime Pillar become essential.

I suggest to add a second one for this type of configuration and make the path calculation relative to what and when a color is used in the model to get the Prime Pillar always consistent indipendently from which nozzle is first or last used.

Cheers guys and keep up the good work.

(and damn sorry for my awful english)

Re: Prime Pillar not working as it should

I doubt it will work properly for a different outline vs infill extruder. Think of a model that has 3 different islands. To prevent excessive oozing, the software prints one island at a time (outlines and infill) before moving to the next. This means that you would have 6 tool changes per layer (outline 1, infill 1, outline 2, infill 2, etc). I don't think the prime pillar would work correctly in that situation.
