I have a model in which the first layer has multiple disconnected islands.
Any skirt settings, whether for priming, or to increase the footprint for adhesion, do not appear to use the retraction settings specified for the rest of the model - retraction only seems to kick in when the actual model itself is being printed. This leaves a gooey mess on the print bed in between the "islands" of the skirt.
Also, in other slicers, the skirt (if not touching the model) typically gets calculated to surround the entire footprint of the model with a single skirt, rather than multiple skirts for each island. What is the "by design" behavior for the 3.0 slicer?
