Your extrusion width cannot print the thin wall at the required dimension of the file. Some slicers like makerbot desktop will allow thin walls to be printed anyways, which can be nice for some cases, but if you were looking to get a model 3d printed at the proper dimensions, it makes sense the the slicer should omit those parts. It's a good visual indicator for me that i shoudl redesign the part to allow for the tolerances of the nozzle, and/or lower my extrusion width (uslaly the former and not the latter)
Thanks - yes I redesigned it ant it slices now - I just couldn't understand why maker ware sliced and it printed fine. Perhaps there should be a setting in S3D to allow thin walls would be good ?
Agree, one checkbox will do. Run across the same problem on a few stl files. Makerbot sliced and printed it perfectly, but in S3D the walls disappears, whatever setting I make. Now I have to switch betweens S3D and makerbot for a few objects.
Would be nice if this can be printed with S3D, so I can put all the object on the table at once. Saves me a lot of time.
