[SOVLED] Two things about V3.0

first I am impressed by the new features. Honeycomb!!!
On the other hand I noticed two things while testing the new version.
1. The bed leveling wizard seems to not work. When it moves to the first point of leveling it moves all three axis at the same time. By the time it arrives at the leveling point it has already 0.1mm in the z-axis and as soon as it arrives it moves to 10mm z-axis and then waits instead of just waiting at 0.1mm as before. So for the moment I am not able to level the bed with 3.0 and I am using 2.2.2 to level the bed.
2. The top and bottom layers are printed at a different speed. Currently I am printing at 50 mm/s with 100% first layer speed and 75% outline underspeed. I can not determine at which speed the top and bottom layers are printed but they are surely faster than the rest of the outlines. You can see a outline underspeed though but at a higher speed than the outline which are not part of the top and bottom layer.

Can anyone confrim this behaviour? For your information, I am printing with PLA on a Creatr HS.

The top and bottom layers have a dedicated setting to control their speed. Open your FFF settings, click the Other tab, and you can see the setting for "Solid infill underspeed". That can be used to reduce the speed of the top and bottom solid layers.

In addition to that, you also have a first layer speed that will apply only to the very first layer that is printed (see Layer tab). So you may see both of these settings having an impact on the first layer only.

thanks for your anwser. I have my solid infill underspeed the same than my outline underspeed at 75% both, only my first layer speed is at 100%.
Still the behavior continues the same as described. Apart from that I noticed some other things where I am not sure if it is because of my settings or because of the new version, but I will post them in another thread.

Same bed leveling issue here - I'm using three custom leveling points and bed leveling wizard in 3.0 does the same what you have described.

I'm having the same bed leveling issue. I know very little about 3d printing, as I'm a complete novice, but I've been seeking a solution and can't find one, anywhere.

As to the other issue, I've been unwilling to even attempt printing anything, as I can't get the bed leveled, so I have no idea about that one...

Hi,

I can confirm bed leveling wizard is busted in 3.0. I hook up the printer to the laptop running 3.0 and does not work. Then I hook it up to the laptop running 2.2.2 and works just fine.

This has been reported in another thread to have been fixed at least for one person in the 3.0.1 update.
