Extrusion multiplier resetting to 50x

Rostock Max V2, I've attached the fff I'm using, and I've updated to S3D 3.0.1

I can change the extrusion setting, save, then prepare to print, save to disk. Then go back and check, the extrusion multiplier has automatically changed from 1.0 to 50.0. Completely repeatable.

This does not happen that I've noticed with a previous fff for ABS.

Any idea what could cause this dump?

That is weird and probably a little bug. Have your tried deleting that processes and recreating it? If that doesnt work, try deleting that process, deleting the profile and recreating both.

I created a totally new profile, on a completely new install, on a different computer. It's doing it again.

The only thing common, is the printer, and I'm using SD card.

When you make the change from 50.0 to 1.0 rather then just hitting OK, go up to the top by the printer profile section, and select update profile or save as new. See if that helps. It should remain modified, which it isnt, so it definently is an issue.

I have tried that, and it does not resolve the issue. Currently it's not happening, so I'm trying to isolate what exactly causes the issue. I've had it happen on two different windows computers, which have zero common components.

In your FFF settings, under G-code. Un-check Update Firmware Configuration.

Hopefully that will help. I'm using a Rostock Max v2 myself although converted to smoothieboard.

I tried the steps you mentioned with the fff file you posted. Can't get it to happen on either of my computers. It always stays at exactly the same value. Never changes to 50.

I noticed it happens if set to manual extrusion width exactly 0,50mm. If 0,49mm or 0,51mm this not happens.
This happens after preparation of g-code when I return to edit process settings.

It's like the small hole (0,8mm diameter) bug which happens when first layer height is 100%, but if 99% or 101% it's okay.

Works fine for me. What version of the software are you using? Can you post a factory file of the setup right before you click "Prepare to Print" (which I presume is when the change occurs?)
