Macro Buttons

Another question for the masses.
The Machine Control Panel has 3 Macro buttons. I am trying to program Macro2 to G28 and call it AutoHome.
I can successfully do that and when I press the Macro2 button, it works fine.

But then if i unplug the USB cable and plug it back in, it resets to Macro2 and no command, sometimes. Sometimes it is just fine.

This is without doing anything else. And I don't have "Update Firmware Configuration" selected.

Any ideas?

There's an extra step for getting Macros setup at first, but it helps because if you have multiple printers you can switch between them and have custom Macros for each

Go to Tools-->Firmware Configuration, set your custom macros for then click Export and save as a new .frm file. For instance, "myCustomMacros.frm".

Then go to Edit Process Settings-->Gcode tab. In the Firmware Type and change it to your new Custom profile (myCustomMacros.frm would be a choice on the list).

This is really helpful since I have quite a few printers and now whenever I change profiles in the FFF Settings window my macros change as well.

Got it! I get why it is written that way now. I'll give it a shot but can see how that works.
