When will the option of converting separately and individually filament costs and individually for support?
We know the cost of PVA is different than the cost of the PLA filament, the program calculates the cost of the whole but it does not make sense. For large models support PVA is very important since the cost of material for the slide is two or three times larger than PLA
I second this...
It is not really any use knowing the total weight of the material printed if you're using two different material types, which are unlikely to have the same cost.
Anyone wanting to calculate the material cost of a model to quote a potential customer needs to know at least the weight of each material used.
I've just purchased S3D as I've just ordered a Wanhao Duplicator 4S and did not much like the other software available but this was just about the first thing I noticed that is missing in the software.
My old printer is a BFB RapMan 3.1 and the BFB Axon software that was used to create the build files gives a nice little summary of the material that would be used to build the model, per extruder. The summary shows the mass in grams and the cost (based on material profile setting) per extruder and of course the estimated time to print.
I'd be happy enough with just knowing the weight, preferably in grams, per material which I could then use to do the simple calculation, using my filament cost, to work out the material cost for the model, so I could quote more accurately.
