Add Printer Status To Preview Screen

I wonder if it might be feasible for the Preview screen to show the current communication status of the printer?

At present having set up the print I switch to the Preview screen and typically click the 'Begin Printing Over USB' button.

Whilst this works, occasionally I find that S3D has lost contact with the printer - which I can verify via the Machine Control Panel. In this situation rebooting the PC sorts out any problem with USB comms.

It would be nice if the Preview screen gave a simple status message for the printer.

Expanding on this, It would seem useful for the software to have a user preference setting to indicate USB or SD card (or more accurately, write to disc) and the preview screen to display differing command buttons and information. The preview screen can then show things that are important for what you are doing. For instance, why would someone who always writes to SD card/disc need to have the printer control selector, etc

The preview screen could then have some of the basic commands, etc from the printer control panel showing for those who always print to USB.
