Varibale Layer Speeds

So, we know that slowing down printing speed causes less vibration and the horizontal surface quality becomes brilliant ! :-)

But I don't want to do my Whole print at that slow speed of 20mm/s as it takes days.

Is it possible to just set the Top Solid Layers to 20mms ... and the rest of the models Bottom Solid Layers, Infill, Support, Outline/Perimeter Shells to 80mm/s ?

A bit like building the pyramids ... use rough blocks for the base and infill, then smoother finer layers for the coating (in this case horizontal layers)

Re: Varibale Layer Speeds

On the Other tab, you can set speed modifiers for the outlines, top solid layers, support structures, rapid movements, etc. So just adjust the one for the solid infill (i.e. top solid layers) and that way only that portion of your print will slow down.
