Fan on only for top layer areas (PETG Printing)

Hi Guys, this is my first feature request - and best regards from Germany, and sorry for my poor English :)

I´m printing now the most time with PETG on my ROBO 3D. PETG is a great filament for all kind of print jobs and purposes, but it needs some special treatment for certain print jobs as I recognized now. E.g. printing a job with 2 outline perimeter and "15% Full Honeycomb Infill" at 60mm/s print speed, 0.4mm nozzle at 255 degree Celsius (E3D V6 hotend), it needs the fan to be off to print the honeycomb infill without gaps and in a good quality.
At the same time/print level, I have inner our outer areas, which are already top layers - e.g. 6 top solid layers and would need the fan 100% on for this partial layers to provide a good result and to prevent the nozzle to suck/move melted filament over this top layers to secure/make a flat surface without black/burned filament pimple/spots...

I may provide you pictures, the fatcory file, whatever needed to explain more in detail.

Any possibility (future option?) to have this special fan control included?

Best regards,

Matthias

So you want the fan OFF for the infill, but ON for the top solid layers? If you go to the Cooling tab, you can tell the software what layers you want the fan to be enabled. So perhaps you could leave it off for the first 200 layers then turn if on for the last 5 layers or something like that. It depends on your part I suppose
