Changing Measurements

Not familiar with metrics measurement only inches. How do I change it in Simplify? Also not familiar with Centigrade to Fahrenheit how to I change that? :(

Pretty much all 3D printers out there use millimeters and celsius. You can still do everything else in inches, like CAD modeling and all that, but for interfacing with the 3D printer, they all use mm/degC

If it's in inches in the CAD modeling, will Simplify convert it into MM when I export it?

If it's in inches, your part will be 25.4 times too small, the software does detect this most times and asks you if you'd like to scale the model.

Re: Changing Measurements

C = (5/9) * (F-32)
F=9/5 * C +32

The 32 is because 0 C = 32 F (they simply start at different places)

The 5/9 is because in C there are 100 degrees between solid (0 C) and boiling (100 C) water, but in F there are (212 - 32) = 180 degrees, and 100/180 = 5/9.

Re: Changing Measurements

This video explains how to automatically scale all parts from inches to millimeters automatically when importing them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8ytvwfCn5g

You could also just wait to allow the software to auto-detect that the part is smaller if you want, but if you are always going to be importing parts that were modeled in inches, I find this easier
