slicing problem (bad quality)

Hi,
I was trying to print some thin walled structures and found that s3d does not print on intersection points. The attached file contains 3 images, first image is after slicing in s3d, second is of slicing in slic3r (viewed in repetier host) and third is the g code generated in s3d and viewed in repetier host. The red rectangular boxes show the areas where problem occurs. Due to four retractions at those points (compared to 0 in case of slic3r) , the quality at those joints are poor.
In case of cura, the output is similar to s3d if combine everything (type A) option is unchecked and is similar to slic3r if that is checked producing continuous smooth lines.
Is there any similar option I am missing :?: or any workaround by combination of settings :!:

Any suggestion is most welcome :)

Re: slicing problem (bad quality)

How thick are the pieces? If they are really thin, you'd probably just be better using a dxf vector convertor or something that makes simple vector toolpaths like that.

Re: slicing problem (bad quality)

I think I know how you can resolve this....

Load your model and then select Separate Connected Surfaces on the Mesh dropdown menu. If I'm right, you'll get multiple entries in the models list....and it'll slice correctly.

See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3096 for an explanation.
