Change your layer thickness to 0.2501 and I think you'll find the unwanted artefacts will go away.

The slicer does have a tendancy to get things wrong when there are minor errors in the shape mesh. Altering the layer thickness slightly can make such things go away!

It seems like there are a bunch of bad triangles and self-intersecting surfaces with that mesh. That's probably what's causing the issues.

Re: sliced part has artifacts that are not in stl file

Well it is better now. I ran the part thru a mesh fixer (I can't remember which one) ( the S3D computer died in the middle of this) and it still had the problem I ran it thru S3D V2 on my backup computer (not much of a backup since it was out of date) and it worked ok.

Exported it from SolidWorks again and ran it thru S3D (Latest Version (Updated backup computer)) and it was all good.

Must have been BIT ROT. .... Who knows the box is now OK and I got other stuff to chase.
