printbed designs for multible printers

I have 2 different printers and I also designed the printbeds for my pritners - I can add those two stl models but when I switch the printers at "profile" nothing changes: is there a way to link one printbed to a printer and the other to another stl printbed model as it is intended so?

Also assign the correct printbed and click ok does not link the printbeds nor does deleting one printbed help!
my second printer: printbed
my second printer: printbed
my first printer: printbed
my first printer: printbed

Re: printbed designs for multible printers

Thanks!

...but that's a really ugly workaround, istn't it?

Simplify3D says it supports multible printers but as it seems no one has even tested if you really can add an stl for each printer seperately

Re: printbed designs for multible printers

Just to be clear, all you need to do is add one line to your profile

<printerModelsOverride>C:\path\to\my\PrinterModel.stl</printerModelsOverride>

So it's pretty simple. S3D already has this line in many of their pre-configured profiles - that's why many of their profiles come with different printer models already pre-loaded. And yes, many of us use different models for different printers. All you have to do is change the filepath in each profile to point to the correct STL file.

Yes - but first export it, copy/paste it and add it again - that's not clean at all especialy as there is the possiblilty to add multible stls as a printbed but to link it the user has to do an export, add a text and import it again?
It's abolutely no problem to do this but it's not logical at all as far as I'm experienced with this software so far.

Nevertheless: many thanks for your help - I just can't see a reason why Simplify3D handles this in that way :?
