Rafts

I have just printed a fairly large model and decided to use a raft, but I cannot get the model to release from the Raft.
Probably due to some setting I have made, what setting are a good starting point. Also where can I locate the Brim settings. :? Ernie

Re: Rafts

Increase the raft "separation distance". Larger values will make the raft separate easier.

Re: Rafts

Set the "Skirt Offset from the Part" to 0.00 for a Brim.

Re: Rafts

Yup, a brim would be a good option too. If you're new to this, there's a great tutorial about all of these options here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/tuto ... and-brims/

Be careful though because if your value is too big it will warp and separate mid print. After a lot of tinkering, 0.20 seems to work well for me. However, if it is going to be a large print sometimes I will lower it a bit just to make sure it stays together.
